It’s Just a Bike Ride.
The Casuals are a new, relaxed road cycling group based out of Letchworth Garden City.
We're all about enjoying our bikes, exploring the beautiful local area, meeting other like-minded riders and being back in time for whatever other commitments our busy lives entail.
Why The Casuals?

Inclusivity
We get that life gets busy. We're not always at peak fitness and that's ok.
We ride only as fast as the slowest in our group.
And operate a no-drop policy. Young, old, parent or not, as long as you've got a road bike and can ride for an hour or two, it'll work.

Exploration
We believe that fresh air is a remedy.
Exploring quiet local countryside lanes is better than any gym session.
And we'll seek to find ever better routes and, more importantly, cafe stops.

Socialising
Cycling is one of those sports that is better together. We want to build a community of like-minded people.
Our promise is to create space.
To chat, to laugh, and to just enjoy riding.
Even if its just for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning.
How we ride
We are pretty flexible with the specifics around our ride to encourage as many people as possible to come and join us for an enjoyable journey out, but the below should give you some guidance as to what is typical.
Days
Sunday morning is our main ride. We do have ad-hoc rides throughout the week also.
Pace
Average is 25kmh (15mph) but happy going slower to make it enjoyable for all!
Time
Our Sunday ride starts early - anywhere between 6am & 8am to get back in time for other commitments.
Group Size
We are new, and still growing, but you can expect around 4 of us out each ride currently
Distance
Anywhere from 30-60km (15-40mi) is typical (1.5-3 hours).
We do monthly 100km+ rides.

We depart from The Wynd outside Vutie Beets cafe in Letchworth
